Irazu is the first Central American satellite in space. We designed, manufactured and tested for a first functional prototype of the secundary payload onboard of Irazu, that prototype were developed to measure the angular velocity and linear acceleration of the satellite, as well as the magnetic field surrounding the satellite by implementing integrated arrays of sensors which include: gyroscopes, accelerometers and magnetometers. This array configuration information that will be used by an embedded computer to determine and correct noise and drift, among other functionalities.
